The River as Commons: Working to Keep a Hard-Working River Flowing (Colorado River Basin Water Transactions Workshop)

October 2–4, 2018
Moab, Utah

A variety of people from seven U.S. states who work to protect and restore flows in the Colorado River and its tributaries meet annually to build collaboration, knowledge and support for that goal. The workshop features case-studies from around the Colorado River Basin and in-the-field experiences to encourage knowledge sharing and trust building among people working in many places in the basin to foster a more sustainable river. The final day, Oct. 4, includes a case study of working with agriculture on the river, and discussion of challenges and opportunities ahead to build a river as a commons, plus a field trip on the river.

The event is by invitation only. To make your case for an invitation, contact Nicole Silk, nsilk@rivernetwork.org.
